The city of Grand Prairie is a city in Dallas County with a significant overlap into Tarrant County, and a minor overlap into Ellis County and is a suburb of Dallas. The city of Grand Prairie is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area, also known as the Metroplex.
