Things to do in Benbrook
First off, one thing you can't do in Benbrook is buy a beer. Residents voted to
make any sales of alcohol illegal awhile back, and they're sticking with it. Now
that we've got that over with, the main attraction here is Benbrook Lake. It's
one of the nicer public spaces near Fort Worth, and one of the great things
about it is that all the land around it is public property. Which means that
apartment dwellers can have access, without having to worry about being run off
of someone's private land.
Benbrook Lake has just about all a lake can offer, including camping, fishing,
hunting, boating, birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking,
playgrounds, sporting areas, marinas, golf courses, AND stables! What more could
you want or have in a lake area?
